It all started in 2015 when Noor knew very little about cats. But when her daughter suggested starting a pet shop and grooming business, she agreed well-armed with nothing more than YouTube tutorials and determination.
Fast forward: Noor studied under 13 mentors worldwide (from the West to Southeast Asia, even in India), impressed the judges when she groomed a client’s cat during a show, and by 2017 had set up Purrfection Catz Grooming Academy.
Her golden rule? No scruffing. No stress. Just love.
“Cats are babies. Treat them gently and humanize them,” asserts Noor firmly. And that’s how she created a no-scruffing movement in the grooming world in Malaysia.

One thing Noor drives home is this: a vet’s groom isn’t the same as a professional groomer’s groom.

Her organisation welcomes Malays, Chinese, and Indians on the same footing land has had foreign students coming from Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Egypt, and even Lithuania.
