Malaysian entrepreneurship took centre stage on the regional platform as two homegrown companies emerged victorious at the Emerging Enterprise Awards 2025, reaffirming Malaysia’s growing influence in Asia’s innovation and sustainability ecosystem.
Dodo Ventures Sdn Bhd and Green Environmental Engineering Sdn Bhd were named among the top winners at the prestigious awards ceremony held in Singapore, standing out from nearly 600 applicants across Asia.
Jointly organised by The Business Times and OCBC Group, the Emerging Enterprise Awards celebrate young, high-growth companies with strong fundamentals, bold ambition, and regional expansion potential.
Dodo Ventures clinched the Emerging Enterprise Award, recognising its scalability, innovation-driven strategy, and readiness to compete beyond domestic borders. Meanwhile, Green Environmental Engineering was honoured with the Emerging Enterprise Sustainability Award, spotlighting its impactful role in the rapidly expanding green and environmental solutions sector.
As part of their win, both companies will receive:
- A two-year interest-free term loan of up to S$200,000
- Regional media exposure via The Business Times
- A business consulting package worth S$15,000 from RSM Singapore
Celebrating the milestone, Tan Chor Sen, CEO of OCBC Bank Malaysia, praised the winners for their resilience and drive.
“These young companies have gone the distance. Their entrepreneurial spirit and grit to strive for greater heights are truly remarkable,” he said.
Now in its 18th year, the Emerging Enterprise Awards continues to spotlight Asia’s most promising businesses. This year, seven Malaysian firms made the finalist shortlist including Cobbler Sdn Bhd, Tommac Sdn Bhd, Alps Global Holding Bhd, Future Food Sdn Bhd, and Good Foodie Media Sdn Bhd reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a rising force in the regional startup and SME landscape.
For Malaysia’s business community, the message is clear: local ideas, when backed by vision and execution, can compete and win on the regional stage.
