MCash Integrates With PayNet, Unlocking Nationwide DuitNow QR Payments
Malaysia’s digital payments landscape continues to evolve and MCash is stepping firmly into the future.
In a strategic move to enhance interoperability and expand its ecosystem reach, MCash has officially joined Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) as a direct participant, enabling seamless access to DuitNow QR payments and DuitNow transfers across the country.
This integration marks a major leap forward for MCash users. Previously limited to merchants within its own network, users can now transact effortlessly with millions of DuitNow QR-enabled merchants nationwide, significantly widening their payment reach.
Beyond QR payments, MCash now supports DuitNow Transfer, allowing users to send and receive funds instantly using just a mobile number or bank account simplifying both peer-to-peer and business transactions.
According to Chief Executive Officer Tee Kean Kang, the shift toward interoperability is no longer optional but essential in a rapidly maturing digital economy.
“DuitNow QR has become a cornerstone of Malaysia’s digital payment landscape. By becoming a direct participant in PayNet, we are strengthening our ability to deliver secure, real-time payment and transfer services nationwide.”
He further emphasized that the move positions MCash as a fully connected player within Malaysia’s national payments infrastructure, reinforcing trust, convenience, and financial inclusion.
The integration also aligns with Malaysia’s broader digital ambitions, especially as the country gears up for Visit Malaysia 2026 where seamless, interoperable payment systems will play a crucial role in enhancing both local and tourist experiences.
With this milestone, MCash is no longer just a digital wallet it is becoming a key enabler in Malaysia’s cashless future.
