Fashion is entering a new era one where confidence speaks quietly, culture shines boldly, and modesty becomes its own movement. This November, Kuala Lumpur will host the first-ever Fashionably Modest Asia (FMA) 2025, a showcase celebrating the rise of contemporary modest wear on a regional stage.
Set to take place from 18–20 November at Pavilion Arena, Pavilion Damansara Heights, FMA 2025 brings together designers, innovators, and visionaries who believe that modest fashion is not just a style it’s a statement.
A Movement Rooted in Diversity, Empowerment & Asian Identity
At the heart of FMA 2025 is a mission to champion modest elegance infused with culture, craft, and modernity.
According to Andrew Tan, Lifestyle Advisor for FMA, the event aims to empower women through designs that elevate self-assurance, confidence, and individuality.
Despite its theme of quiet confidence, the showcase stands as a powerful reminder that modest fashion can be expressive, daring, and deeply meaningful. Through collaborations across ASEAN, FMA highlights unity through design proving that fashion becomes stronger when cultures merge.
The designer lineup includes:
- Khaar (Vietnam)
- Benang Jarum (Indonesia)
- Na Forrer (Brunei)
- Chris Nicks (Philippines)
Each will bring their own cultural narrative to the runway transforming the stage into a tapestry of Southeast Asian creativity.
Modesty Meets Sustainability: A New Standard for Fashion
In an age where sustainability is no longer optional, FMA 2025 pushes creativity to new heights. Designers are challenged to use dead-stock fabrics from their archives to produce two original looks reinventing modest wear through conscious design.
It’s fashion with purpose. Style with responsibility. Creativity with impact.
Malaysia’s Style Icons Lead the Runway
The showcase will open with a visionary collection from Malaysia’s top stylist, Min Luna, known for her ability to merge modesty with forward-thinking fashion. Her past collaborations include names like TACT, Ezzati Amira, Afiq M, SVG, Huntilanak, and Behati, all of whom shaped Malaysia’s fashion identity.
