Jaguar marked a historic milestone in London as the iconic brand celebrated 90 years of fearless innovation with a spectacular side-by-side showcase of two defining models: the original 1935 SS Jaguar and the brand’s newest design statement, the Type 00.
Framed against the mid-century-meets-modern architecture of The Chancery Rosewood, the display symbolised Jaguar’s unwavering commitment to daring design and luxury craftsmanship across generations.
A Legacy of Boldness: From 1935 to the Future
When the SS Jaguar debuted in 1935, it broke the mould. With its sweeping roofline, elongated bonnet, and aerodynamic silhouette, it introduced the world not only to a new name Jaguar but to a new design philosophy driven by elegance, performance, and courage.
Today, the Type 00 carries that same spirit into the modern era. More than a design study, it’s a signal of Jaguar’s rebirth. Clean proportions, sculptural surfaces, and a bold presence hint at the next chapter of the brand as it prepares to launch a new luxury GT model next year.

London Red: A Colour Born From Culture
The Type 00 appeared in a bespoke anniversary colour London Red. Developed by Jaguar’s in-house materiality team, the shade draws from the city’s iconic red brick architecture and cultural touchpoints. Created exclusively for this 90-year celebration, the colour stands as a tribute to the connection between Jaguar’s British heritage and its evolving future.
