
Welcome Canapés: A Taste of Southeast Asia

Before guests even entered the ballroom, they were greeted with three beautifully crafted canapés each celebrating a different flavour from the region:
- Satay Lilit – aromatic, smoky, and hand-moulded
- Pani Puri Bites – a playful nod to South Asia
- Beef Kerabu – refreshing, tangy, and bold
The night began with flavours that felt familiar yet impossibly refined.
Starter: A Fusion of Comfort and Creativity

The first course set the tone for the evening’s theme:
- Silky Steamed Egg
Topped with creamy masak lemak clams, blending comfort food with elegance. - Passionfruit With Tamarind & Prawn Salai
Served halved, showcasing smoky prawns, tamarind tang, and a hit of chilli jam a vibrant burst of sweet, sour, and spicy.
It was a bold opening and guests were hooked.
Main Course: Two Nusantara Icons, Reinvented

The mains spotlighted deeply loved Southeast Asian classics, each transformed with luxury flair.
🍖 Braised Lamb Shank Kuzi (Reimagined)
Rich, aromatic, and slow-cooked to perfection this Kuzi was hidden beneath a layer of flaky puff pastry, creating a dramatic reveal. Served with potatoes and carrots in a beautifully spiced curry.
🐟 Grilled Seabass Rica Rica
A fiery Manado-inspired dish elevated with:
- tender grilled seabass
- pucuk paku
- sambal hijau for a green, spicy kick
Two mains, two personalities both distinctly Nusantara.
Dessert: Bubur Sumsum, But Make It Luxury

For the finale, guests enjoyed a reimagined take on the beloved traditional dessert:
- Coconut streusel for crunch
- Coconut lemongrass ice cream for fragrance
- Gula melaka for deep caramel sweetness
A nostalgic dessert elevated into a modern masterpiece.
After-Party Supper: Comfort Food Done Right
As Sheila Majid performed and DJs took over, the supper station opened — instantly becoming the night’s biggest hit.
Guests fuelled the dance floor with:
- Indomie Goreng (because no Malaysian party is complete without it!)
- Nasi Lemak with full condiments
A perfect ending: heritage comfort food meeting high-society celebration.
