Meet the 26-Year-Old Malaysian Changing Autism Care Forever

Imagine turning your childhood passion into a lifeline for families. That’s exactly what Husna, a 26-year-old from Dengkil, Malaysia, has done, proving that empathy and education can unlock extraordinary potential in children with autism.

At the heart of Dengkil stands PW Learning Disabilities and Autism Care Centre, a space Husna built with her mother. More than just a centre, it’s a family, a safe community, and a launchpad for independence. Husna is redefining autism care with nature-based therapies, cultural integration, and family-first support inspiring a movement for inclusive education in Southeast Asia. 🌍💫

A Childhood Spark That Lit a Movement 🔥

Husna’s journey began at just 12 years old, helping out at her mom’s kindergarten. Each year, at least one child with autism enrolled and Husna was hooked.

“I found teaching them much more fun; it’s like entering a different world,” she shares.

By 18, after completing SPM, her dad challenged her to open her own nursery. She passed with flying colors, then pursued special education while studying computer science. That mix of hands-on experience and knowledge became the foundation for PW a place where every child is seen, valued, and empowered.

Breaking Barriers: Transformations That Matter 🌈

Husna doesn’t measure success in numbers, it’s all about milestones.

Children progressing from severe to mild diagnoses 💪
Kids gaining independence in daily tasks like cooking, showering, cleaning 🏆
One 6-year-old even solved a math book for older kids, proving Husna’s belief:
“They are smarter than us. We just need to give proper exposure.”
Her model is inclusive, not isolating. Kids with autism learn side-by-side with peers from different cultural and racial backgrounds, reflecting Malaysia’s beautiful diversity.

Why PW Stands Out 🌟

What makes Husna’s centre different?
Parents as partners – Regular talks, outings, and home visits train parents to manage routines with less stress.
Nature therapy – River trips, outdoor grounding, and sensory balance activities help kids reconnect with calm.
Integration with PW Babies & PW Kids – Autistic students learn by imitating peers in nurseries and kindergartens.
Social media power – With Instagram outreach, PW pulls 15–20 leads a month purely from word-of-mouth and trust.

The Bigger Dream 🚀

Husna isn’t stopping here. In the next 2–3 years, she’s planning a vocational school for autistic children aged 7–12. Her vision?
💡 Teach skills.
💡 Build independence.
💡 Help children earn and showcase their talents to the world.

“I want them to earn their own money and prove their value.”

As a young entrepreneur, Husna is also proof that you don’t need a business degree to change lives. What you need is vision, grit, and heart.
